Cruising Into Elevated Wellness & Hospitality

We are incredibly grateful to Lisa Wolfe, Founder of Spa Peeps, for bringing this experience to life and for inviting Cary to share insights on a lively & wisdom rich panel.

The Colliers also enjoyed 1:1 meetings with vendors, think tank sessions, group dinners with industry friends & discovering Virgin Voyages' The Scarlet Lady.

Spa Peeps continues to build an important community within the industry, one rooted in connection, knowledge-sharing, and leadership development. ELEVATE was a powerful reminder that the future of wellness will be shaped not only by innovation, but by collaboration, community and conversations.

The Conversations Wellness Needs Right Now

Cary Collier joined global leaders in the spa and wellness space in a “fireside chat” focused on challenges and opportunities in wellness. The panel was moderated by Suzanne Holbrook, and included Jessica Shea, Jeremy McCarthy, Michael Lahm, and Cary Collier.

As Cary shared:

“Kim and I have just returned from a @SpaPeeps Wellness event on a Virgin Voyage ship. I was on a panel of global leaders for an audience of operators, vendors, and consultants. The topics and discussions were captivating for all of us. Wellness has undergone rapid change in the last few years, unlike anything experienced before. The reason I mention this is the apparent disconnect between wellness operations and the property owners and senior leadership. Sensitive topics for sure, but worthy of renewed awareness, and how wellness spas are managed.”

That statement landed deeply, because it reflects something many of us are witnessing across the hospitality and wellness world: an industry moving faster than its internal structures can keep up with.

Wellness is no longer an “amenity.” It is a business pillar. It is a driver of guest loyalty. It is increasingly a core component of property value. And yet, in many environments, the operational leadership tasked with delivering wellness experiences is still disconnected from the ownership and executive decision-making that shapes budgets, priorities, and long-term strategy.

These are not comfortable conversations, but they are essential ones as we focus on the realities of today’s rapidly evolving wellness landscape. Exciting times and conversations on a cruise ship are a memorable venue.

Thanks again to Lisa Wolfe & her esteemed colleagues. Ahoy, until next time!
