A Luxury Wellness Experience: Hidden in a Daily Habit

We often think wellness has to involve a plane ticket, a spa reservation, or an elaborate morning routine.

But sometimes it’s much simpler!

Sometimes wellness is choosing products that align with how you want to live:

  • cleaner ingredients

  • less waste

  • better rituals

  • more intentional habits

  • products that feel good and do good

Oral health overall may not sound as glamorous as a spa reservation, but when a daily habit feels elevated, sustainable, and genuinely supportive of your health, it changes the experience entirely.

As a family that genuinely loves wellness experiences - the spas, the rituals, the clean ingredients, the tiny habits that make daily life feel more intentional - we’ve realized something surprising: oral wellness has been a missing piece in the conversation of self care.

And honestly? It deserves a seat at the table!

Rethinking Our Oral Wellness with Simple Shifts

Cue ENML Toothpaste

Because if we’re reading ingredient labels on our skincare, prioritizing gut health, investing in better sleep, and avoiding toxins where we can… shouldn’t we care just as much about what goes in our mouths two to three times a day?!

That question led us to ENML (pronounced enamel), a luxury oral wellness company that’s changing the way we think about brushing our teeth.

And yes, somehow a conversation about toothpaste turned into a deep dive on hydroxyapatite, the oral microbiome, sustainability, jaw tension, gut health, and intra-oral massage. Needless to say, wellness people really know how to keep things interesting.

A Dentist and Two Spa Consultants Meet at a Bar…

No really - that’s how this started.

Dr. Jordan Harper, DMD,  co-founder of ENML, created the brand with the idea that oral care should feel less clinical and more aligned with modern wellness. His perspective immediately stood out to us because it approached oral care the same way the wellness world approaches skincare or nutrition: thoughtfully.

As Dr. Harper explains:

“Our revolutionary toothpaste tablets are chemical free, fluoride free, and contain hydroxyapatite (HaP), the mineral that your teeth are actually made of.”

Hydroxyapatite (try saying that 10x fast) is the naturally occurring mineral that makes up the majority of our enamel and bones. ENML uses nano-hydroxyapatite, which has been studied for its ability to help remineralize teeth, reduce sensitivity, and support enamel health.

In other words: instead of aggressively stripping the mouth, the goal is to support it = oral wellness.

The Wellness Journey Starts in the Mouth

One of the most interesting things we learned while researching ENML was how connected oral health is to overall wellness.

“The wellness journey begins in the oral cavity,” Dr. Harper shared. “Our oral microbiome is what feeds our gut.”

The oral microbiome (the ecosystem of bacteria living in the mouth) plays a much larger role in health than most people realize. Harsh chemicals in conventional oral products can disrupt that balance, which may affect everything from inflammation to digestion.

For years, oral care has largely focused on killing bacteria indiscriminately. But wellness as a whole is moving toward balance instead of overcorrection, and oral care seems to be following that same evolution.

Why We Have Loved Using It

Now, let’s talk experience - and chat feedback from our family!

ENML’s toothpaste tablets genuinely surprised us. Our newest learnings have us saying “I’ll take an intra-oral massage and a side of hydroxyapatite, please.”

The mouthfeel is incredibly clean. Think  fresh-from-the-dentist vibes.

The tablets are also:

  • Fluoride free

  • Chemical free

  • Travel friendly

  • Plastic free

  • Eco-conscious

Instead of toothpaste tubes, ENML packages their products in glass and aluminum containers, while their spa and hospitality products use compostable paper sachets.

Even their bamboo toothbrushes avoid traditional plastic bristles by using castor oil-based materials instead.

It’s the kind of detail-oriented thinking for the environment that our family really loves, and our planet does too.

As for our own daily dose(s) of luxury toothpaste use:

Cierra: “Gentle feeling toothpaste that works! I’ve been using it off and on for months because it feels precious and I was using it for travel. I used it for a week straight and can’t go back!

ENML feels like a hug for my teeth and gums, I have a few weak spots in my teeth that are sometimes irritated when brushing with “regular toothpaste”, not with ENML! Once I got used to reaching for the Jar instead of the tube I craved using ENML, I slipped up one evening and used my standard toothpaste and really noticed the difference (it almost..hurt?) I haven’t made that mistake since. My teeth also seemed less sensitive to cold and abrasive textures in food.

It took me a few days to get used to not having the “burn” of “regular” toothpaste that I’ve subconsciously linked to the feeling of “clean” after a lifetime of overstimulating toothpaste propaganda.”

Kim: “Feels so nice, I brush twice! Love ENML freshness!

For this blog research, I experienced “intra-oral massage” (see below). As a massage professional, I felt the benefits of oral relaxation immediately and my hips relaxed (see below). I will definitely recommend this work to clients and friends seeking relief from jaw and hip stiffness.”

Kiara: “ENML ended up being really easy to work into my routine. My mouth felt super clean afterward. I also ended up loving them for travel since you can just toss the tablets in your bag without dealing with messy toothpaste tubes or TSA liquid limits!

I also appreciate the environmental side of it. It feels good knowing there’s less plastic waste involved, especially for something we use every single day.”

Cary: “Kim and I met Dr. Harper at a bar.  We were on the Virgin ‘Scarlet Lady’ ship attending the ELEVATE SPA 2026 conference by Spa Peeps.  Dr. Harper was hilarious and we were immensely impressed by his conversation about ENML.

The look: packaging is elegant and cool; packaging colors vary with the flavor alternatives.

The product: tablets for brushing and for mouthwash; the tastes are fresh and marvelous.

I’ll not be going back to toothpaste.  ENML makes my mouth feel happy and healthy! Sometimes I scream like Tarzan.

Now… What Does Oral Health Have to Do with Jaw & Hip Tension?

This is where things got unexpectedly interesting.

During our exploration into oral wellness, Kim researched intra-oral massage therapy (yes, massage therapy inside the mouth) and the growing research connecting jaw tension to the rest of the body.

What’s a blog about oral wellness, without an effective Intra-Oral Massage experience?! Specifically, let's chat about the relationship between the jaw and pelvic floor.

Apparently, the body loves a good plot twist.

Research suggests the jaw and hips are linked through fascial connections, posture, and nervous system pathways. Dysfunction in the jaw - including clenching, TMJ issues, or tension patterns - can contribute to compensations throughout the body, including the pelvis and hips.

In other words: your stressed jaw may be telling a much bigger story.

As wellness continues evolving toward more integrative approaches, it makes sense that oral wellness is becoming part of the conversation too.

Thanks to Arrowleaf Massage & Bodywork founder Nancy Cronin, for a most interesting and relaxing massage experience, in Columbia Falls, Montana

And… What’s This I Hear About Thyroid Disruption?

As more people focus on gut health and reducing toxin exposure, oral care has officially entered the wellness chat. After all, the mouth is the beginning of the digestive system, and the oral microbiome plays a bigger role in overall health than many of us realize.

Recent research has also explored possible links between high fluoride exposure and thyroid function, sparking more interest in alternatives like hydroxyapatite. While the science is still evolving, it’s one of the reasons wellness-minded consumers are becoming more intentional about their routine products.

We’re not here to fearmonger or pretend to be scientists! But wow, we find it fascinating that something as routine as brushing your teeth may connect to bigger conversations around wellness, inflammation, gut health, and how we care for our bodies every day.

One More Thing to Smile About

A Note from ENML Co-Founder, Jordan Harper, DMD:

“ENML (pronounced enamel) is a luxury oral wellness company looking to change the way we take care of our mouth.  Our revolutionary toothpaste tablets are chemical free, fluoride free, and contain hydroxyapatite (HaP), the mineral that your teeth are actually made of.  It turns out, when you make the HaP molecule small, it will help prevent against cavities, decrease sensitivity, and remineralize the tooth. But to really feel the difference, you have to try the product and see how it leaves your mouth feeling like you just left the dentist. As a dentist, my goal was to make something more user friendly, eco friendly (no more shipping water in toothpaste to far ends of the earth in plastic tubes), and luxurious feeling as spa and hotel amenities always fall short in the oral care category, as if its some sort of last minute after thought. Sadly, most people don’t realize the wellness journey begins in the oral cavity as our oral micro biome is what feeds our gut! Harsh chemicals in other oral products can nuke the good guys, leading to troubles down the road with processing the foods we eat.

ENML is here to change that with 5 varieties of toothpaste tablets, a mouthwash tablet, and bamboo brushes with NO plastic bristles.  That is right, unlike traditional brushes, ours are made out of castor oil to avoid micro plastics. We have packaging for both retail and back bar so we can accommodate any spa/hotel need.  No more wasting plastic on crummy toothpaste tubes that get used once then tossed out! Our tablets come in either glass/aluminum jars for retail and home use, or for back bar amenities we do single count satchets in compostable paper. With more and more people moving away from fluoride due to the deleterious health risks, as well as focusing gut health, the time is now to upgrade your spa or hotel and give the guests an experience that is memorable and makes them want to come back!  A more sustainable and luxurious oral wellness journey is here and it starts with ENML!”
